So, I found one long extension cord and all the routers. Michelle
delivered them to Mr. Acydlord this afternoon for prep for this
weekend.

I am currently updating and configuring all the routers for this
weekend. Miles, can you get ahold of Jeremy from UAT and find out what
time he will be there on sat or get a good time for me to show up
tomorrow so he can show me which ports will be active for us?

Were you wanting to show up Friday? I had not considered that. If so
I'll get with the UAT person and ask about a meetup.

Saturday the UAT IT guy is supposed to be there at 7am to let us in
and setup the Twitter wall, and we could also have him show us the
ports for the WiFi routers then if you don't see him Friday.

He's requested that we not be given his cell phone number (I suppose I
called him too often last year or "as a policy" he'd like to not share
it), however you should be able to go to the security desk and get
ahold of him, or I'm also supposed to be able to call my UAT contact
and she'll call him; but I'd really like to avoid that at 7am if I
can.

My plan, is to give him a prepaid phone to use for the weekend, I
should have that setup by Saturday.

See which would be better for them, I know they showed up kind of late
last year so I had some issues getting the wifi set up that wasn't set
up in the off limits areas. Either one is fine for me

I think we had a room to drop stuff off on Friday last year, no? I should have programs tomorrow. Would love to drop off if happening.

Last year we had room 201 as a dropoff, not sure if that is available to
us again this year or not. Would be nice though for people to drop off
water and items so everything isnt a big rush sat morning.

After 1pm you can drop things off at room 201. It will be locked so
stop by the security desk to be let in.

They want your name beforehand, so I will include everyone who had
emailed the group in the past few days.

Someone might bring a few trash bags to help with cleanup.

Went down and talked with IT at UAT, they informed me that they have
upgraded their wireless and it can now handle 1000 unique IP addresses
so we probably won't need to use our routers this year. I've got them
in room 201 just in case and their network guy said if we start having
internet issues he can get down there and set up ports for the
routers.

Also, can we edit the front page (or somewhere) to say "Show up at
8am, and see speaker schedule on the speakers page"

the login for the pcs in the rooms should probably be just left with
speakers, maybe on the whiteboard in the greenroom

If anyone has a really good webcam they'd like to loan us for the day for
the Podcast Stream, that would be awesome. I have a logitech one that's
useable, but if you have something better - I promise to guard it with my
life! :)

Also, does anyone know if we are using Ustream or Justin.tv tomorrow? Does
it matter?

I never heard back from either Ustream or Justin.tv, so use whichever you feel more comfortable with.

(Can't help with the camera, sorry - mine are little ones.)

I was actually about to shoot you an email to ask which you were wanting
to use so I can set up the correct page on the home page tomorrow, the
decision is yours. I have a Microsoft Lifecam Show and a Microsoft
Lifecam NX6000 that I will have with me tomorrow, both are fairly good
quality, I'll swing them by when you're setting up so you can see if
they are better than what you have.

And we are bringing both our Blue mic and the boxed one for the prize. Ours is yours to use in the PodCastAZ area as you wish. Just make sure I get it back at the end of the weekend.
