The answer is yes and no. Let me explain.
Podcamp is a free event largely because sponsors pony up money to let the planning crew do things like reserve conference rooms at a hotel, rent AV equipment, etc. In return, sponors receive consideration, including being allowed to distribute swag.
I want you to have a lot of freedom as speakers to share your ideas and to be creative with your presentations. But the planning crew really needs you to be respectful of sponsors who help us keep this a free event. As soon as it starts to look like you are receiving a sponsorship benefit without being a sponsor, that is B-A-D.
If you'd like to hand out some kind of reward (like a keychain flashlight, for example) to a few people who answer questions you pose, then yes, you can do that. If you have a link on the back of your business card with, say, a free software license or a PDF download, that's probably fine too.
If you're planning an Oprah moment ("Everyone look under your seat - you have a new car/t-shirt/bumper sticker/bottle opener/software license!") then you'll need to email Mathew or Sarah at
sponso...@podcampnashville.org.
