I have two young children that are enjoying Minecraft-PE
So, being the nerd dad that I am (and having built several very successful Counter-Strike servers back in the day [I know, I'm dating myself]) I found the PE server code and have a server running in the house for the kids.

Here's the frustrating part.
When they play Minecraft-PE standalone, they get a full complement of blocks to use (dirt, bow, saplings, sand, etc.). How can I start a server that will give them a full complement of blocks so they can enjoy the server game as they would a standalone game?

Thanks for any assistance!

Also a newbie father, but I believe that you should start it in "creative" mode. Edit it in the server.properties file.

I see gamemode and I set it to 1, creative

Care to share your server properties, maybe I'm missing something:

Hi Frank,

I was thinking about it. Have you restarted the server?  I'm having some troubles with the pocket edition server. My children are complaining it is buggy. I have to spent some time to try to understand it.

Here is the documentation of server.properties:
I think it is of the desktop version, but probably it is of the same in the Pocket Edition.

regards,
