Hi PocketMath Team!

We have been implementing the postal codes validaion on our side and got into a small problem.
Some codes that are in our database are not presented in your db, hence marked as invalid on your side.

Examples of such codes: 23423, 59085, which looks like valid zip codes.

Here is the source for our DB: https://www.aggdata.com/node/86

Could you share the link on your source for us to able to make a sufficient validation?
And would you consider updating the database to contain as much valid codes as possible?

Thank you in advance,
Eugene.

Hi Eugene,

Thanks for the question. We will update the documentation accordingly. The short answer is that we don't store postal codes if we don't think we will see traffic for them.

In our bidders we use the Maxmind database in order to do geo-targeting. The two postal codes you have listed belong to areas of very low population density and have no associated IP addresses in Maxmind. To keep our bidders performing at their fastest we only store and match postal codes that we know we will be able to match against incoming bids.

Regards,
Ross
