Hi all,
Those of you that follow my Instagram account (@aye_cnc) will have seen that I have designed and made a workholding system for my Pocket NC. I’ve had few people ask me if they can buy the system having seen me post about it on Instagram, so I’ve made a simple website (www.aye.company) through which you can request a quotation by simply filling in a form.
I’ve also uploaded a video onto Youtube, which gives a more detailed explanation of how the Workholding system works, as I’ve had a couple of people request more information.
I’m not trying to make any money from producing these (not unless I get a boat load of orders, which seems very unlikely), so I’m just offering it at cost. The more orders I get, the lower the price I can offer. I’ve had several requests in already, and if I can get a few more I can start knocking a decent chunk off the prices that are currently displayed on the website.
I’ll close the orders in 7 days or so, and send out
quotations. So if you’re interested, please fill in a form at www.aye.company.
Obviously, if you have any questions, just drop me a message.
Cheers,
Alex
Hi Mike,
I designed the system for my own personal use, and have had a few
people ask if I’d get one made up for them. So, I’m not planning on making many
of these, or having spares lying around. Once you add up all the components it’s
quite expensive I know, but it does work very well. So if you’re interested, you
might want to get your order in now….
For the smaller components, I’ll manufacture some spares so that I’ve got them
in stock and ready to ship should anyone want to add another vise to their
setup, or should they need more soft jaws/knurled jaws for example. For the ‘Fixture
plate’ and ‘Base plate’ though, I doubt I’ll get any extras made. As I’m doing
it at cost, I just don’t want to be sitting on stock that I may not sell.
If I have a number of requests in future, I’ll make some more, but I’m not sure how likely that is. I can make a one-off for someone, but that will obviously be more expensive. I’m closing the orders at the end of the week so that I can send out quotes to those who have already requested one.
Note: I did a quick video yesterday explaining it can be used for low profile clamping as well.
Best,
Alex
