Hi Guys,

Looking for some help. My machine won't connect to the computer.

Windows 10, PocketNC10000

Left it connected over the weekend and now it wasn't connecting. So I have tried disconnecting and waiting, and restarting my computer. I get blinking blue lights but the Estop button does not light up.

Any advice?

Daniel

Hi Daniel,

It sounds like your Beaglebone black's (the mini computer that runs the machine) disk is full due to error logs. That can happen when the machine is left plugged in over USB for longer periods of time without use. Give the steps listed in section 2 of this article a try and see if that does the trick for you.

Thanks,

Hi Q and all,

I am having this issue again, and it won't connect through Putty either. I had the machine running a very long G-code over night and since then it hasn't connected. Tried restarting it, and restarting computer.
Any ideas for my next step to try?

Computer does recognize its connecting to the pocketNC

Thanks
Daniel

Hey Daniel,

Sorry to hear you are experiencing connection issues again! Is there any chance your computer updated overnight? Are you still not getting a blinking E-stop button?

Thanks,
Q

Hi Q.

I think it probably did.
It seems resolved for now that I pushed through all updates.

Estop was blinking the whole time

Hi Q,

I just figured it out. My work network no longer allows me to connect to a second "network". Which is how the PC is interpreting the pocketnc.

Ah, that would make sense. Are you going to be able to find a work around?

Yeah, I just turn wifi off when I need to interact with the machine, otherwise it runs with me not being able to see the UI screen.
