On the V2 of course... the dovetails in question also have a slot.

Probably for workholding during production (on a 5 axis). Something like a Raptor vise. I've made a similar setup for my PNC V2... benefit is extremely rigid workholding and access to 5 sides, downside is that you have to dovetail (and in our case put a dowel pin hole) in the stock as s separate op on a another machine.. i use my Tormach 1100M for this.
