Hello all,

I hope June is off to a great start for everyone. I am writing to
inform you of a couple opportunities to contribute to the work of the
Task Force. First of all, we are very excited to have knowledgeable
and enthusiastic folks lined up for our steering committee. This
upcoming Tuesday we will be going to the County Commission to have our
steering committee officially appointed. However, we have yet to get
any interest from anyone in the central magisterial district and would
like to have representation from all parts of the county. So, if you
live in the central district and might be interested in serving on the
steering committee, please email me directly at Lyn...@gmail.com for
more details. As a reminder, if you simply reply to this message, your
response will go out to the entire group.

Secondly, we are helping coordinate a water education day at Green
Bank Elementary/Middle School’s math and science camp. We already have
volunteers lined up from the WV dep, DNR, Edray fish hatchery and two
watershed organizations who will be giving water related presentations/
lessons to the students. If anyone else would like to participate, we
could certainly use more volunteers. We are in need of more presenters
(anyone who could teach a brief hands-on lesson or even do a water
related art or writing project with the kids) as well as chaperones to
accompany a small group of students through the various stations. The
event is happening on Tuesday June 22nd from 8:30am-2:00pm at the
school in Green Bank. Again, if you’d consider helping out and would
like more details, just shoot me an email. Thanks for your interest
and continued support!

Lynmarie - I'm afraid I am going to have to say no to the water education day at the Green Bank camp.  Our resource folks are all incredibly busy right now with contract administration, some even working weekends to stay caught up.  So, much as I would like to have the FS represented at this event, I'm afraid it just isn't in the cards for us.  I hope it goes well.
