Event Hostesses for International Business Conference - Essence Communications

Dear All,

This is your opportunity to gain exposure within the PR industry. Essence Communications are seeking students from the Mass Comm dept that would be available to work as Event Hostesses for an international business conference taking place at the Shangri-La Hotel from the 21^st to 24^th November 2009.

 

Append here the requirements and responsibilities the candidates would be expected to possess and execute:-

 

Requirements

• Females (4 pax)
• Tall, pleasant looking, confident personality, outgoing
• Able to converse fluently with senior level individuals (Chairmen, CEOs, COOs, Managing Directors, Executive Directors)
• If possible, prior experience in handling events and public relations acitivites
• Candidates with fluency in Arabic and Mandarin would have an advantage  

 

Responsibilities

• Register and usher delegates/guests; meet-and-greet sessions upon guests’ arrival.
• Facilitate small talk and introductions between delegates and speakers.  
• Attend and assist with enquiries from various parties e.g. delegates, moderators, speakers, media etc.  
• Create networking opportunities between delegates, speakers, etc.  

 

Candidates will be provided appropriate attire corresponding with the event, briefed on their task and duties and compensated accordingly (it PAYS!!)

Hi Miss Zee ^.^ This is Sabrina ... lol I don't know if you still rmb me ^.^ from your previous public speaking and advertising class.  about the job, i'm interested and eager to try and work if possible ^.^ Though I have never worked in a real PR environment before but I have worked in Baskin Robins, Coffee Bean, An Entertainer(clown) >.< hehe, but the closest I believe to this field was being a guest service assistant in Genting Highlands ^.^  I can converse in both English and Mandarin and interacting rationally would not be a problem for me ^.^ Thank you for presenting me this opportunities n I will forward this to a few of my classmates who r also interested n would get in touch =) P.S : How have you been ?? I was not given too much details in regards to the event but they will call you for interview first and explain more on the necessary when they see you.
