APSPOS Travel Grant
The Asia-Pacific Strabismus and Paediatric Ophthamology Society (APSPOS) was established in 2008 aiming to assist paediatric ophthalmological and strabismus development in the Asia-Pacific region and provide a platform for good integration of skills and knowledge of clinicians in this subspecialty.
We are pleased to offer up to 3 APSPOS Travel Grants for young ophthalmologists in the Asia-Pacific region to attend the 2016 AAPOS and SPOSI Joint Conference. Priority will be given to ophthalmologists who are aged 40 or below, from a developing country and whose presentations (free paper or poster) have been accepted by the Scientific Program Committee of the 2016 AAPOS and SPOSI Joint Conference. Each successful applicant will receive US$500 if they live outside the host country of the 2016 AAPOS and SPOSI Joint Conference (i.e. India) whereas those who live in the host country will receive US$300.

Selection results will be announced on October 24, 2016.

Travel Grants from the Bernadotte Foundation
The Bernadotte Foundation for Children's Eyecare is offering a limited number of travel grants to the 2016 Joint Conference of the American Association for Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus (AAPOS) and the Strabismus and Pediatric Ophthalmological Society of India (SPOSI) on December 2-4, 2016 in Jaipur, India. The amount of the travel grants will be either $500 or $1500 dependent on the distance of the grantee to the conference and does not include registration. A letter of application should include:
- Name and address of applicant and associated institution if one exists
- Professional activities e.g. pediatric ophthalmologist; ophthalmologist involved in prevention of blindness activities
- Two letters of recommendation from professional colleagues
- How the applicant feels this meeting will be of benefit for future professional activities
