The PNWVHFS website Beacons page describes this CW beacon as:
144.299 | Issaquah, WA | WE7X | Test, reports to WE7X |
Also, there’s a little more description of the beacons on the Issaquah ARC website home page.
The last I heard, Rod WE7X is still operating the beacon except during contests. He watches this message board closely and I’m sure he’ll reply with current status when he gets the chance.
By the way, the beacons are located south of Issaquah and are mounted on the south side of Tiger Mtn; its coverage is only toward the south and southwest. I can’t detect it from my home 10 miles due north of him. Mike, your path CN87uj-CN97al of 16 miles looks like a favorable direction.
TL;DR – I don’t know.
