DETAILS For Entry In The ARRL JUNE VHF CONTEST

The ARRL June VHF-UHF Contest will be held this weekend. It is a major VHF-UHF Operating Event. 

Objectives of Event: communicate with as many amateur radio stations in as many different Grid Squares as possible on as many bands as possible, & have fun. 

I'll give a bit of the basic info in this e-mail and also include some details along with the primary web site urls for complete info.

Dates: Saturday and Sunday, 14 & 15 June 2025

Times: From 11 am pdt on Saturday until 8 pm pdt (actually 7:59 pm pdt) on Sunday.

Frequencies permitted: all permitted amateur radio frequencies 50.000 MHz & up

Modes Permitted: Voice, Data, CW 

Equipment to use: Anything from Handhelds to Kilowatt radios with antennas ranging from Rubber-Duckie whip to Stacked Yagis.

Locations to use: home QTH; mobile QTHes; Hilltop or Mountaintop Locations.

Scoring: points times total number of grids worked. Note: see web sites for details!

Points: 1 point for each QSO on 6 or 2 meters & 2 points for each QSO on 135 or 70 cm

Entry categories: Single Operator; Rover; or Multi-operator. See web sites for full details.

Common bands/frequencies/modes:

6 meters: 50.125 MHz Ssb; 52.525 MHz fm simplex; 50.313 MHz FT8; CW near 50.090 MHz

2 meters: 144.200 MHz Ssb; 146.52 & 146.55  & 146.58 MHz fm simplex; 144.174 MHz FT8; CW below 144.2 MHz

135 cm: 222.100 mhz usb; 223.5 MHz fm simplex; CW near 222.100 MHz

70 cm: 432.100 mhz usb; 446.0 mhz fm simplex; CW near 432.100 MHz

Higher bands: see web sites or ask other operators

Log Submission: within 10 days after end of contest. Easiest way to do is by sending your Cabrillo formatted log via web app at:  b4h.net/cabforms/arrlvhfjune_cab3.php 

contest-log-submission.arrl.org also works, but I always use b4h.net for all of my contest entry submissions!

N6ZE plans to operate SSB, CW, FT-8, FM on 6 meters from home location in Thousand Oaks CA (DM04) and will probably travel as a Rover to a spot in the Santa Monica Mts on Sunday afternoon to operate 6 meters to 23 cm.

N6GP/Rover plans to operate from DM03; DM04; DM13; DM14 on various bands/modes

There should also be large stations operating  from San Diego mountaintops & Mt Frazier.
