Hi all:

I picked up an original 6M5 6m Yagi recently for helping an aging (aren’t we all!) ham get his antennas and towers down, but without the manual, and it seems that M2 only have the 6M5X and HP models on their web site now.  Anyone got a manual for the original 6M5 (with the close spaced D1) lying around that could check the D1, D2, and D3 dimensions for me?  Can’t find the manual for this one anywhere on the web.

Thanks and 73

I can't find the layout for the original 6M5, but I DO have a layout for the 6M5X,
and I also have instructions on how to upgrade a 6M5 to a 6M5X, if that would help
you.... GL and VY 73, Lance

Lance, Marshall, Pete and Ralph;

Thank you all for info on getting my 6M5 put together right. I ended up
calling Jason at M Sqd this morning and he was extremely helpful! I used
the opportunity to get an updated quote for splined shaft upgrades for my
OR-2800's (sticker shock!) and while discussing that I got the pdf manuals
for the 6M5, 6M5X, and the upgrade from the 6M5 to 6M5X which can still be
had on a made-to-order basis. It probably isn't worth the $100 upgrade
given this antenna would likely only be used in a portable mountaintop-type
escapade (DN 19 maybe?). The upgrade doesn't add much in the way of gain
but improves beamwidth and F/B.

As it turns out I could have just mounted the three directors in a taper
fashion and been right - good to check though!

Have fun at Dayton Marshall - I am green with envy! Say hi to the Mike and
the rest of the gang. Nice to see WA8WZG showing up on the reflectors
again! Maybe next year.......
