As some of you may know, Dennis has been undergoing a severe treatment for
cancer that was discovered shortly after his attendance at the DX
Convention in Vancouver this summer. Chemo and now radiation.
He's one tough cookie.
Google K7BV to find his blog.
Meanwhile, we could direct some 'thoughts of the universe' toward him.

144 MHz Eimac 8877/3CX1500A7 Tube Based Amplifier
This is a surplus power amplifier from a NOAA installation that was
decommissioned.
A. The Amplifier is a SR Systems SR-410A based around an 8877 (aka
3CX1500A7) Eimac tube, this system is setup for 144 MHz operation. This is
a rack-mount amplifier (rack not included), not a desktop unit. The unit is
untested as I do not have the proper equipment to safely test it, as such
it is being sold as-is. Please be aware of the size of this amp; it
measures 19" wide by 21" deep by 15" tall and weighs 50 lbs. before
packaging for shipping.
B. The Heavy Duty Power Supply is a SR Systems SR-410PS power supply that
will power the amp under heavy usage demands. This is a rack-mount power
supply (rack not included), not a desktop unit. Please be aware of the size
of this unit; it measures 19" wide by 21" deep by 12" tall and weighs 150
lbs. before packaging for shipping.
These two units originally built to government demands and specifications
combine to make a very tough 2 meter amp. However, please do not believe
this to be a plug and play deal. The units do not come with interconnecting
cables, the rack or the manuals. The manuals are available on the Internet,
though. I was looking forward to putting this beast on the air but, due to
a serious medical condition, I am going to have to pass on the project to
someone who can make good use of these two components to make a terrific 2
meter amp.
PHOTOS: I have attached just a few photos of these units so that you can
see they are in excellent condition. I have several other photos for
serious Buyers.
SHIPPING: We have some 200 pounds here that would need to be packaged and
moved by freight or local pick up arranged. For about one more week the
units are in the Seattle, WA at a residence in 98077. After that, I will
have to move the equipment to Irvine, CA while waiting on a Buyer which
will increase the cost of the package at that time.
PRICING: (1) $1,000 if purchased while still in Seattle this week. Price
does not include packing and shipping to your destination. (2) $1,000 +
Seattle to Irvine freight if purchased after units moved to Irvine, CA.
Price does not include shipping to your destination. Cash, clear check or
money order closes the deal.

Looking for old VHF QSL cards and logbooks.
| One of these units was for sale at the Puyallup Swapmeet a couple of years ago. They are nice. You would need some tools and a workbench along with some expertise to convert one of these, but the price is pretty darn good for what you get, I think. The amplifier is a moderned-up version of the famous W6PO amplifier. If I didn't already have a W6PO amplifier and power supply, I would find a way to come up with the cash for this.
