Here’s an interesting link to a supplier of various types of FABRIC used for electromagnetic shielding. Possible uses include groundplanes for fiberglass vehicle roofs, QRP/backpacking groundplanes (where carrying weight is a primary concern), covering RFI/EMI sources, etc.

I went looking for such fabric after reading about a new product that prevents the new passports, driver licenses, and other IDs that incorporate RFID from being secretly “read” by ID thieves, and a new handbag for ladies that keeps their cell phones from ringing in the middle of meetings/plays/etc: http://figleaftechnologies.com/ (I figure you can make such things yourself inexpensively). These products use nano-silver threads woven into the fabric, but I believe that some of the non-silver alternatives listed in the above vendor site would be cheaper and corrosion-free while attenuating as well or better.
