There are 2 microwave contests this weekend.
The first is the 903 and up Sprint. It runs from 8AM until 2PM local time. I am planning to going out to several locations. I will start in Marysville from probably 8AM to 10AM and then come down to my house from 11:30 until 2PM.
I will be listening to the microwave WHATSAPP group. You can also text me at
425-260-5043. From Marysville I can hit Olympics and Mt Rainier. I will try Olympics from 8 to 9 and Rainier from 9 to 10AM.
From my neighborhood I can hit Cascades, Mt. Rainier and Olympics. Each one is a slightly different launch spot but they are all within CN87VR. I am wondering - I may be able to work Carlos on 10 GHz from my back porch if I can find a hole between the trees. I know I can work K7MDL on 2304, 5760 and I think 10 GHz from my front yard aiming at Big 4 Mountain.
The second contest is the SBMS 2304 and up contest. I don't think there is a rule prohibiting the same contact from being used for both contests? If there is just repeat everything twice. This contest runs from 6 AM Saturday morning until Sunday midnight but participants are only allowed to run for 12 hours within that block.
I will monitor 144.200 as well but not planning on taking my 2 meter beam - so only for close in contacts.
