Collecting discarded CC antennas is a good way to pick up antenna material. Especially booms.

2m antenna elements can be cut down to make replacement elements for 222mhz antennas, etc.

Couple of 2m 11el antennas and you can make a pretty decent K1FO antenna for 432.

Its a cushcraft, steel wire brush it and put it up.

On a side note, I tried an antenna program on the 11el 220 a long time ago and it came out pretty good. Wasn't worth the time to change anything.

Now if you can come up with a easy way to replace the coax connection I'd like to hear about it.

Interesting point.

I took an old 11 el 2m Cushcraft and cut the elements down to 222 MHz. I
did a computer model of it at 2M and then at 222 MHz and the gain went up
about 4 dB because the element spacing is now wider for 222. Have not
compared it side by side with another antenna but it seems to play well as
the portable antenna for 222.

My current two meter 11 element device used to be the "standard" boom
length, but, replacing the center four foot long piece with a pair of 6
foot long pieces made for a really cool 20 foot boom... and an antenna
that modeled out to having 3dB gain more than the "stock" antenna. Used
it mountaintopping with great results for years, then "retired" it... It
now is on the mast here at the home shack... Gamma match filled up with
water a few years back... so replaced with a suitable homebrew "T"
match... No more problems with coax connector!

The other stunt with the A147-11 is to simply shorten the elements to
dimensions appropriate for 222, leaving the spacing alone no less...
Works FB, although I have not done this personally... More info from N7EPD...

Aloha to all:

With little interest in 6m and the fact I need more funds for my
microwave infrastructure, I am offering the below for sale to the group.
If they don't sell today, they'll go to eBay. These items are widely
advertised on several reflectors, first cash, first served:

1- NEW never used, still in wooden crate, a custom ordered by me from
Ted Henry in 1996 a Henry 3006a. This is the floor counsel with an 8877.
Also contains T/R switch with Jennings vacuum switch in machined holder,
w5un style. This is new in crate, never used. Requires 240 VAC and has
7-16 DIN connectors for I/O, I will also throw in the female N
connectors that were standard if you need them. This was over $4k with
shipping, I'll sell for $3500 firm.

2 pcs (1 pr) - NEW in box M^2 6M9KHW long Yagi's. You know what these
cost, I'll accept $1200 for both and can ship or deliver.

Buy both offerings and I'll throw in a db6nt preamp and Transco Y relay
modified with DIN connectors in my shop for your tower top excellence.
