Straight Key Night, or "SKN", is the traditional straight key ARRL CW confab
on New Years Eve and the following day. This will be the sixth PNWVHFS SKN,
and it's a lot of fun! SKN is an informal and friendly gathering on the
air. Nobody keeps score, and face it - we are all rusty with a straight
key, so don't be bashful! For full information, go to:
http://www.arrl.org/contests/rules/2008/skn.html or the December QST.
Contacts can be as short or as long as you wish, but be sure to submit an
entry to the ARRL and the society reflector.
Suggested operating times are 1900 to midnight on December 31st, PST.
Progress reports posted on the society reflector are encouraged.
Entries to the ARRL consist of only a listing of stations worked plus a vote
for "Best Fist" and "Most Interesting QSO". Recommended frequencies for
VHF/UHF SKN are: 50.135, 144.210, 222.110, 432.110, and 1296.110.
See you there!
