pnwvhfs.org domain transfer in progress

Everyone,

I have begun the process the transfer of the pnwvhfs.org domain name from one domain registrar/host to another as of about 0830 this morning (Saturday).  At some point in this process the www.pnwvhfs.org website will cease to exist until I get it reloaded on the new registrar's server.  Also, the email aliases for the board of directors, contests, webmaster, etc will cease to forward.

This process generally takes between 24 and 72 hours.  I cannot begin to transfer content until the shift has been made.  The last domain I transferred took about 36 hours to process and another couple hours to upload content, reset mail aliases, etc.  Due to work, life and other inconveniences it may take me a day or three to get everything rebuilt.

Once this process has completed you should not notice any substantial changes to the society website or email aliases.

This move is being done to save the society money (we get 2+ years of hosting for the same price as 1 year at the current host) and add functionality on the back end (after a lot of development work takes place of course).

There is never a good time to do this sort of move but looking at my calendar between now and the domain expiration date it was clear I had to move forward on this now rather than wait.
