Dear US-based biochar regional group heads,
I hope this finds you well. I am reaching out to you today to let you know about some opportunities for US-based biochar groups at the upcoming 2013 USBI North American Biochar Symposium at UMass Amherst to be held October 13 – 16, 2013 (more information can be found at: http://symposium2013.pvbiochar.org). The organizers are very eager to have the conference fully showcase what is happening in biochar on the ground around North America and I am reaching out to all the regional groups both in the US and in Canada to help organize this. I am working with the conference organizers on behalf of IBI and I’d be pleased to work with you to help with your participation in this event. We’re proposing a series of opportunities to have you and your members attend (or showcase materials if you are not able to attend) and talk about your work. There will be a session dedicated to both the United States and Canada where those doing work on the ground can discuss strategies, ideas, opportunities for collaboration, and network. Additionally, there will be a dedicated space set up for materials for your organization (specifically for biochar regional group materials please) and a place to showcase what you are doing. If you are coming, or if you cannot attend but will send materials, please let me know so I can provide more information to you as it is made available.
