Genealogy or sex?

Hi,
I tried to send the following as a reply to the message about "Important
Pussy...." but it failed to get through, so I'll try sending it as a new
message:

I think either you or I have got the wrong newsgroup! I thought this one
was to do with genealogy, not sex (yes I know without the second we wouldn't
have the first, but surely people who join a newsgroup called
"soc.genealoy.misc" do so because they are interested in family history, and
that kind of thing. It certainly seems so, because apart from the "Important
pussy" message, and one asking do I want to win free cash, all the other
messages are about researching family history. If I choose to load such
messages as the "pussy" one into my computer, that's one thing, but to have
them coming in to a newsgroup on a completely different subject is another,
and I'm sure I'm not the only subscriber to this newsgroup who is not only
offended by such messages, but also obejects to seeing them on a newsgroup
which isn't (as far as I know) intended for that kind of subject matter.
Otherwise, what is the point of having separate newsgroups? If "anything
goes" on any list, we might as well just have one enormous one.
