This Thursday, I plan to do the following:

• Introduce some simple analysis on data time series. mean, variance, Fourier transforms (useful to analyze noise) etc.
  
• Introduce filtering of data. Some features become obvious when filtering is done on noisy data.

PS: We can probably meet twice a week. One day for learning just programming/python without any application in mind, and other day on how to use python to do  something useful.

For this thursday, do you have datasets? If we share datasets prior to class that will leave more time at hand in class to do real work.

We'll generate the data in python only. Be sure to have python-numpy
(aka numpy) and matplotlib installed on your system. Bare python
installation won't be good enough. Some distribution anaconda and
spyder already comes with these libraries (along with many others).
Get anaconda!
