It is NECESSARY that the regularly scheduled KPFT-LSB meeting take place on DEC 9, 2015. Why?  To deal with ongoing multiple problems with the current election process at KPFT!   One BIG problem is that a number of members have NOT received their paper ballots with their respective code.  And there is barely 4 days left to return or cast the ballot.  A second SERIOUS PROBLEM with  the  election process at KPFT-90.1 FM ( Pacifica Radio) is that something or someone has the STOPPED the playing of the candidates' carts on KPFT analog airwaves!  WHY?

The PNB ELECTIONS COMMITTEE ( I am a member) meets tonight, 7:30 pm CST.  And we will hold management and the LES and the NES accountable!

The December LSB meeting is scheduled for Wed. Dec. 9.  However, with this year's delays in the delegate election schedule, and the deadline for ballot return of Dec. 4, it's unlikely that we'll have the new LSB members identified in time for them to take their seats on Dec. 9.  The Pacifica Bylaws say "There shall be a meeting of the LSB in December each year to seat newly elected Delegates and to elect LSB officers..." but it does not seem feasible to do that on Dec. 9.  It's certainly not proper for outgoing LSB members to participate in a Dec. meeting, as the Bylaws make it clear that's when the newly-elected members should take their places.

Therefore, I suggest that the Dec. LSB meeting be rescheduled to Wed. Dec. 16, to allow time for the ballots to be tabulated, the results certified and announced, and for newly-elected LSB members to make plans to attend and to consider who they may want to elect as officers in the Dec. LSB meeting.

Also, who of you has not yet received your ballot?  Neither I nor my wife has.  I've written to our NES and LES several times, and was assured that replacement ballots were mailed on Nov. 23, but we still have not seen ours.  I've also heard from other members who did not receive ballots, and was wondering about all of you.

thanks-
Bill Crosier
