PNB Personnel committee mtg highlights

Personnel committee, here are a few things we decided:
The next meeting date is changed from Sep. 6 (Labor Day) to Wed. Sep.
1, so please put that on your calendars. I already made the change
on the kpftx calendar and entered some draft agenda items there,
based on what we discussed tonight.
Organizational charts for each station and for Pacifica as a whole
would still be helpful, and this can help with the GM hiring process
as well as evaluations, training personnel and board members, etc.
The committee passed a motion asking for Arlene to get org chart(s)
for the committee by September 1. Arlene, can you do that for us,
please? Let us know if you have questions or if this is a problem.
We're setting up work groups for:
* GM (and PD) search and hiring process -- to see how the search is
going at each of the four stations where a GM search is going on, and
make comparisons, suggest improvements, learn from each other and
encourage similar procedures where applicable, etc. Ricco and Joe,
we hope you will be on that work group so we'll have people from your
stations since you are looking for GMs too.
* CFO job description revisions -- to clean up, clarify, and better
organize the job description, and stress results and accomplishments
rather than just tasks. If you were not on the conference call
tonight and can help, please let me know. We'll probably work on
this some via e-mail using our Google group e-mail list (public)
between now and our September meeting.
