Use of PMP Lapel pin

Hi All,

Need someone to explain it to me as to what is the use of PMP lapel pin, since the mail which we receive from PMI asks us to order it separately although it does not cost anything.

Good to wear it at your Chapter meets / though I have never worn it .. just thought of it ;)

Useless...just order it since it is free and keep it at your home.. the size is so small even if u wear it nobody can see it properly....

It is not free. It is becuase you worked hard and passed the PMP Exam.
You deserve it and hence it need to be delivered to you.

We can stick the lapel pin to our shirt or tie when attending PMI chapter events. Ofcourse, it can be used at other events also when we want to let the world know about our PMP credential. The size of this gold plated lapel pin makes it look elegant.

This question was unnecessary, and took up time and space needed to assist the new members get valuable information about this group, PMI and the PMP exams.
 
If you don't know what to do with a PMP lapel pin, how're you going to articulate to your future employers and work team members what makes you a good Project Manager for their mission-critical projects?
 
My suggestion is to order the pin, give it to an aspiring PMP, and watch them go crazy about working hard to pass the exam. Now that's motivation.
