I don't believe there is anything like Tight matrix .It is not a project management term.PMBOK only recognizes Weak,Balanced and Strong Matrix as forms of Matrix organizations.See page 28 PMBOK 4
I also don't believe Co-location can be compared to the matrix organizations.Co-location(war room) is a team building activity in which the project manager arranges for entire team to have offices in one city or one room.It helps improve communication, decreases impact of conflict. It is a central location for project coordination where you can find WBS,WBS dictionary, network diagram, schedules for the project posted.RIta 324 PMBOK4  234

to answer you question below I would pick a choice that states something like cannot be determined as Tight matrix does not exist in project management

Hi

Tight Matrix is the term used in PMBOK for co-location which is also referred as war room, however you are correct it is not at all related to organization matrix (Week, Balance and Strong etc.)

As per the PMP Prepcast, Co-location is refered to as the Tight Matrix. Tight Matrix has nothing to do with the Matrix organisational structure.

Even though "Tight Matrix" is a made up term in the context of organizational strucutres, "Tight matrix" do exists which is also called "co-location".

See "Clarification" section in this wiki page - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Matrix_management

>> Tight matrix, or co-location, refers to locating offices for a project team in the same room, regardless of management structure.
