Dear All,
I would Like to share with you that i have cleared my PMP on 25th of January 2010. Sory for delayed notification, I couldnt log in to share the information with you all. it was a memorable moment for me, when I saw screen flashes with Congratulation after 4 hours of gruelling exam.
Here i am sharing my LLs with you hope it will benifit all who are on the way to their exam. Before taking this exam i have gone through the LLs shared by the group members of
pmp-cert-onli...@googlegroups.com, this is a very good group and helped me a lot and encourages me a lot to go and sit for the exam. I really appriciates the group owner for maintaining such a group.
I followed the same way, like
1. Before the exam start during the 15 min tutorial time, jot down all the formula and 9x5 process, this will give you a lot of confidence, so advicable too.
2. Allways looked for that the confidence doesnt loose, as if you loose you confidence, it will be very difficult to complete the exam and pass the exam.
3. maintained a sheet containing how many i am have doubt with grade low/high also how many i am skipping during the exam, as it will help you to keep track how many questions you are going to be wrong. remember you can at most make 69 question wrong considering 131(106+25) is the passing score. So even if you are in doubt for 30 question at a stretch do not loose confidence you have another 40 to make it wrong. and there from you will not be even woried about whether you will pass or fail, as it happens to be that a series of question might be very tough or confusing to loose your confidence.
4. I followed the following books as a reference-
a. PMBOK - 4th edition(2-3 times)
b. Head First PMP(Very good for the beginers with pictorial representation0
c. Ande crow(very good for quick revision, before the exam i revised the compllete material by 6 hours before the exam)
d. DID NOT LIKE Rita's Book(It sound me very complicated, but read the profesional and social responsibility section)
5. Mock Exam(Take before you go for the exam at least 5-6 full length 4 hours test other wise YOU MAY FAIL)
a. Astrowix eTrac - All four(apprixmately 70 - 75%)
b. Head first PMP exam(70%)
c. ande crow exam on its book (85% - boosted my confidence day before the FinaL Exam)
d. Olive lehman (Very tough tried 100 only scored 62%, looses my confidence)
e. pmstudy free(75%)
f. velociteach(75%)
6. Last but not least, DO NOT FORGET TO READ PMI Code of ethics and professional conducts other wise you will lose 18 marks in the exam.
Result I got as below
-----------------------
initiaing, planning, execution, monitoring and control - moderately proficient
closing and profesional and social responsibility - proficient.
Wish you All the very Best, to be PMP.
And Finally Happy to attach PMP next to my name on My Signature, this also gives a lot of confidence in managing my daily project and work.
