You are a project manager of a construction company. You want to know with whom you will be communicating during the project. What of the below document you should refer to?

It should be (A) Project Plan which should contain "Communication plan" which will address this.

Project plan should guide you as it has communication plan

Closest to think is project charter which can be referred if u are getting assigned as pm and get to know stakeholders at high level.

Since, ques doesn't say that, best option looks proj plan

Even i have selected "A". Project Plan..but after checking for correct answer, it says .. "C. Scope Statement".
This is the reason i had posted this question to the group.

Source of this question is from "brainbok".

This is quite tricky actually.

Reading rita, I realized communication req of stakholders is part of req collection procedure which leads to scope statement

Communication plan tells how above requirements should be implemented

Answer C is wrong. As per PMBOK  Project Plan (communication plan is subsidiary to it) contains all details - to whom, from whom, by whom, who authorized etc. Please correct as per PMBOK. Expecting response from Brainbok moderator, please. Regards,

It says " Correct Answers are : 2  " which is  Scope Statement .
Even i agree with everyone that, answer should be A. Project Plan.
But wondering why source says answer is B. Scope Statement.

Thanks for your input.

It says "Correct Answer : 2" but if you see the explanation, it
mentioned project plan only.

Correct Answers are : 2
Explanation : The project plan say what, when, and how much you will
communicate. It also says with whom you will communicate during the
project.

check question 72 of the same link the answer (1) is wrong because
checklists is an output (not tools) of plan quality .

Not all of the online questions web sites are professionals with due
respect to all.

The answer is "A".  The Project Plan encompasses the communication plan.

Hello Satish,

I don't think this question is from BrainBOK. It is from the other
blog mentioned by others. If you read the explanation, it clearly says
that the answer is Project Plan.

On a side note, we are not supposed to copy questions from any source
without the permission of the author or the copyright owner. You can
always give a link to the source, mention the question number, ask
other members to read the question from the source, and then discuss
your queries. Obviously it's not as convenient as copying the
question, but as with everything else in life, the "right" path is
always more difficult than the "wrong" one :)

Harwinder
