Renjith,
1. Your 35 hour training is valid forever, even if it is based on
PMBOK4. (Though someone mentioned 3 year validity, which is not
correct). Your 35 hour training and PMP exam content have no
connection. Your 35 hour training certificate fulfils the PMP exam
education eligibility requirement and certificate is valid for ever.
2. If you are taking the exam on or before 30th July 2013, you need
to base your preparation on PMBOK4 because PMP exam is based on PMBOK4
up to 30th July 2013. From 31st July 2013, exam will be based on
PMBOK5.
Now, coming to the question when should you take the exam? My opinion
is as follows -
Since you took 35 hour training based on PMBOK4, it will be much
easier for you to prepare for the exam based on PMBOK4 i.e. applying,
preparing and taking the exam on or before 30th July 2013.If you can
do that then it is the best for you.
You still have sufficient time to prepare for the exam if you prepare
with smart, effective & efficient strategy.
From PMBOK 4 to PMBOK 5 there are significant changes. You can
