Dear colleagues,

I would like to draw your attention to a new tenure-track position in Japanese and/or Korean Studies at the Department of East Asian Studies at Tel Aviv University. 

The position is open to scholars working on Japan and/or Korea across a wide range of fields, including culture, history, society, politics, and related areas. The appointment is expected to begin in October 2026 and includes teaching, supervision, and active participation in departmental and academic life.

Applicants should hold a PhD (or be near completion), demonstrate strong research and teaching experience, and have competence in Japanese or Korean. 

The deadline for applications is May 1, 2026.
