Subject: Survey on Market Demand for the NDL’s Digitized
Contents Transmission Service for Individuals
for Overseas-based Japanese Studies Researchers
The National Diet Library of Japan (NDL) currently offers its
Digitized Contents Transmission Service for Individuals only to
registered users residing in Japan.
However, the NDL has received numerous requests from relevant
organizations and individuals overseas to expand access to this
service.
In response, the NDL has decided to conduct a survey to assess the
potential market demand.
Attached is a QR code linking to the survey, which has been
created by the Japan CULCON (The U.S.-Japan Conference on Cultural
and Educational Interchange) Secretariat through discussion with
the NDL. All responses will be collected by the Japan CULCON
Secretariat and used solely for internal purposes.
An outline of the proposed service framework and related details
is also provided within the survey.
We would be grateful if you could kindly submit your response by
the end of March 2026.
