Dear readers,

Japonica Humboldtiana 26 (2025) has just been published (see the table of contents below).

This year we have agreed with Harrassowitz to provide free access after the respective embargo periods of 24 months (link to vols. 1-23). Vol. 24 (2022, published in 2023) will follow at the beginning of January, and vol. 25 (2023–24) in December 2026.

We would like to thank the publisher and everyone involved in Berlin, Bochum, Cambridge, Frankfurt am Main, Leiden and Tokyo for their excellent cooperation on this volume.

Our very special thanks go to Markus Rüttermann, Hemmoor / Kyoto, for his work as an editor for almost three decades, from the first volume up to 2024, and likewise to Christoph Höffken and Ôta Eri in Hirosaki for taking over the annual printing subsidy through the fund they established for Japonica Humboldtiana in 2016, which has now been making the publication of this journal possible for a decade.
