I am pleased to invite you to a lecture by my esteemed colleague Mark Teeuwen at the Austrian Academy of Sciences (ÖAW) in Vienna. Teeuwen is a leading Shinto historian and professor at the University of Oslo. On October 30, 2025, he will give a lecture at the Institute for Asian Cultural and Intellectual History (IKGA) on a new research topic dealing with religious imaginaries in rural Japan in the medieval and early modern periods.
