UCLA - Tadashi Yanai Initiative for Globalizing Japanese Humanities

Readers of this list will be interested to know that  Department of Asian Languages and Cultures at UCLA recently received a large gift to support the Japanese humanities. Plans include the establishment of an annual international symposium and a workshop on Japanese literature and culture. Keep an eye out for announcements about future events involving premodern literature.
