Dear list members,

I was planning on using images from the Kasuga sairei Kōfukuji gyōji
春日祭礼興福行事 owned by the National Archives of Japan. They were listed there as 'Public Domain' but now they have added that permission is needed to use the image in publications. Does anyone know another version/copy of the Kasuga sairei Kōfukuji gyōji that is free to use in a publication? It concerns the depiction of Takigi Noh in front of  Kōfukuji's gate.

Dear sir:
I have used images from the National Archives (I think) and I recommend going through their system and paying the fee.  Won't your school give you help?  Can you apply for publication support?

PS The National Archive images are clear and easy to use.
