Call for 2021-2022 PMJS Steering Committee members

Dear colleagues,
The PMJS Steering Committee is presently seeking 2-3 new SC members and 1 mailing list moderator (concurrent roles possible) to serve through the end of spring 2022.
The Steering Committee is a volunteer consultatory body responsible for meeting several times a year as needed to review matters relating to the overall maintenance of PMJS, such as reviewing/revising the Terms of Use, creating resources that may benefit the community at large (such as our site FAQ), and addressing any comments, complaints, or suggestions from members.
The moderators of the mailing list are responsible for day-to-day management of the list, which involves reviewing and approving pending email messages, answering inquiries to the modteam email (mod...@pmjs.org), and consulting on any potential violations of the Terms of Use that appear in submitted emails.
In order to ensure that we continue to include a wide variety of voices and can represent scholars from across the globe, for the current open positions, we particularly hope to recruit scholars representing Japanese institutions or other areas currently underrepresented (such as South/Southeast Asia, Latin America, etc.) and for the ModTeam, a scholar in European timezones (to guarantee timely reviews of PMJS emails regardless of the sender's location). All are welcome to apply.

We are very grateful to all of the SC and the ModTeam members who have worked to maintain PMJS over the last year and foster an active and inclusive community for those with an interest in premodern Japan.
