11th Japan International Translation Competition.

• Target Language: English

[Eligibility]
As the purpose of the competition is to foster the next generation of
professional literary translators, applicants who have published
book-length literary translations are not eligible.
However, translations published in magazines and/or anthologies are
permissible.
As an exception,in the Classical Literature Category,applicants with
experience translating and publishing modern or contemporary literature
are also eligible.
[Awards]
Winners in each category will receive a certificate, a trophy, and a
cash prize (Grand Prize: 1,000,000 yen; Second Prize: 250,000 yen).
