Greetings,

I've been asked to post this message on PMJS by a colleague. 



European Association of Japanese Studies
 will hold its annual conference in Ghent, Belgium, August 17-20, 2023. 

You do not need to be based in Europe to participate but will need to become an EAJS member to participate. 

It would be great to see many PMJS members in Ghent!


Proposals for panels and individual papers are welcome in the following areas:

  • Anthropology and Sociology
  • Economics, Business and Political Economy
  • History; Language and Linguistics
  • Modern Literature
  • Pre-modern Literature
  • Media Studies
  • Performing Arts
  • Intellectual History and Philosophy
  • Politics and International Relations
  • Religion
  • Japanese Language Teaching
  • Urban, Regional and Environmental Studies
  • Visual Arts

The deadline for submissions is December 5.
