Hi folks

We have our monthly meeting this Thursday, June 5, at our usual time of 11am US Eastern. Topics I have for discussion:

* remove the restriction on upcalls that they have to return prior to executing the provided callback function. I’ve been pursuing this and will provide an update on progress.

* can we revamp the blocking APIs to avoid use of the PMIx internal progress thread? Request was to provide a functionality without the progress thread. I’ve outlined how to do this, but figured it was worth a discussion as to whether or not we should pursue it.

* check that all APIs are thread protected. I’ve found a few that were missing it and am working to fix it.

* Python bindings may be broken. I’ve seen an error when trying to build on a very recent Python version, but haven’t investigated further yet.

* release updates. Initial releases out for PMIx v6 and PRRTE v4 series. PMIx v5 series should be complete, probable new release for PRRTE v3 series coming in June.
