Hello all

We will have our delayed March telecon this Thursday (the 13th) at our new time of 11am US Eastern. I have a few topics for discussion on the agenda:

1. Another Slurm support problem has reared its head in the last week. This impacts PRRTE and is a blocker for next release, but doesn’t impact PMIx. I have a couple of possible solutions and would welcome any thoughts.

2. A problem with the use of “prefix” when moving installations surfaced relative to PRRTE, but impacts any PMIx-based RTE. I’ve spent more than a week digging into the various scenarios and am approaching something that “works”, but not as invisibly as one might like. Probably worth a download and collecting any suggestions.

3. Since the last call, I have:
* fixed a cross-version compatibility issue in the server
* revamped the query implementation
* fixed a thread-block in the server’s query up call to the host
* more cleanup of the “resolve” functions
* fixed the exit status when displaying help or version from the PMIx tools in the distribution (e.g., pquery)

4. The lto optimizer continues to be problematic - but we may have a solution courtesy of Brian Barrett. If so, then I might be able to continue providing source rpm’s for releases.

Hope to see you on Thursday!
Ralph

Just a gentle reminder since this is an unusual day for us, AND the US time change occurred last weekend. As a time check, Germany is 5 hours ahead of US Eastern time - so we will be meeting at 4pm German local time today.

Hope to see you there
Ralph
