Hello all,
Please find the presentation on Savanna from 02/19 attached.

As some of you requested that I point you to the Savanna source that has the backend execution engines, I thought it best to extract the relevant parts of Savanna into a separate location. This should help understand the current design and implement a PMIx backend in an easier way. Please see https://github.com/CODARcode/cheetah/tree/savanna-pmix/tests/pmix-backend

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks,

Thanks Kshitji

Question for the group: would you like me to give a presentation on how to use PMIx Groups for async construction of communicators across applications? I was planning on making a video explaining how that works, but could give it as a talk if there is interest.

I don't know if Savanna would have use for it or not, but perhaps you might also want to be aware of it. The MPI Sessions folks are using it in their work.

Oh, I would be very interested in that topic! Thanks for offering!

Best, Andre.

I can probably be ready by the next meeting, or we can delay to the one after that - up to you. I don't think it would take an entire hour, depending on discussion, if you want to combine it with something else.

If you all wanted to record any of the sessions and post them for later the PMIx community has a YouTube channel that you can use. You might not want to do that for every talk (it's up to you), but if you have one that you want you can use the WebEx record mechanism to create the video.

If that's something you all are interested in just let me know and I can help with the logistics.

That would work well. If it will be possible for you to give a talk at our next meeting, I vote that we have it at our next meeting.

Let's try for next week's meeting - I'll advise no later than Tues if I'm falling behind and can't make it.

Sorry folks - I haven't had any time to work on a presentation. Let's try again in two weeks.
