Distributed Memory Debuggers:

- Since the requirements were summarized as an ABI, these activities have been taken up by the Implementation Agnostic WG

- Activities paused for the moment.

Bulk operations and transactions:

- Prototyping will be decoupled from the Slurm core

- It is difficult to post changes to the upstream project and get them accepted

- A 'plugin set' approach as a solution to this

- Development of the plugins is independent

- The set of plugins coordinate when needed via their own network protocols

- Open PMIx will be used as the core library to enable interactions

- Pack/unpack building blocks available

- Experimental network threads and other building blocks will be added

- Foreseen changes outside the plugins:

- Currently only *srun*: although the changes should be small, it requires a dynamic support for network IO streams (i.e. IO redirection)
