(Today) PMIx Tools and Dynamic Workflows WG - 1st. Meeting of 2025

Greeting everyone,

We will have our first meeting today, outside of the usual first Wednesday of the month, due to the new year holiday and other activities, such as the MPI forum at the start of the year.

In any case, we will resume our regular schedule in two weeks (starting Wednesday, February 5th.); therefore, do not worry if you cannot make it today.  We should be adjusting our short term goals for this quarter. Next week the general PMIx meeting will take place, and we will summarize there.

Thank you for your participation.  From today's discussion, we will produce a C-based scheduler that will implement FIFO+Bacfilling, while keeping the system, node, and allocation definitions as simple as possible.  Furthermore, we will define a PMIx-based scheduler interaction pattern with PRRTE as the basis.

Since we have met on the second-last week of January, we have decided to schedule the next meeting the first Wednesday of March. That is:

Wednesday 5th. of March at 17:00 Berlin time.
