In the European DEEP-SEA project, PMIx is the primary interface for interoperability between system software, runtime systems and tools. The workload manager in use is Slurm. Because of this, Slurm's PMIx feature coverage is very important for the research project.
Ralph has gracefully volunteered to share his insights about this. I think many of us can benefit from understanding the status here, and what is needed to increase PMIx's support in Slurm, but also other workload managers. This is particularly important for the dynamic processes prototyping efforts, that compliment the discussions in the MPI forum's Sessions WG.
The call will take place at today at 16:00 German time. That is 1 hour earlier than our usual time slot for the WG.
We will sue our regular Zoom call. Please contact me directly if you need the call information.
