How to Apply For the PMP Certification Exam

- The PMP� Project Management Professional program is under the
control and jurisdiction of the PMI organization. Perspective
candidates should follow this process in order to apply for the
PMI-PMP certification exam.
- Register as a member of the Project Management Institute at
www.pmi.org . We recommend registering for both the National
and your local chapter. The Exam cost for members is $405.00,
compared to $555.00 for no-members
- Apply to take the exam. You will need to document 4,500 hours
(with a 3 yrs degree) to 7,500 hours (w/o degree) of experience
in the Project Management Body of Knowledge domains with non-overlapping experience and 35 contact hours of formal education.

- A training certificate of at least 35 contact hours of Project
Management training (PDU's) is required to register for the
exam. If you don't have the necessary hours, search online,
you'll find many at low price. Best is the attend PMP Workshop
for PMP Exam with local PMI Chapters which can earn you 35
PDU's. Check with them if their training will provide you with
35 PDU's.

- PMI may conduct reference checks as part of the periodic audit
process. If you are audited, you will be notified via email.
- Once you have received approval from PMI you should schedule
your exam. You should try and schedule the test for the day
after class. You can do this at
