By the way, if anyone has any ideas as to how I could get access to a server with DC persistent memory for testing, I'd be very appreciative of that
too.
So far I have tried the Intel Optane DC Persistent Memory Developer Challenge and the Intel Cloud Insider program, but have gotten nowhere with those.
I've also inquired with Google about their supposed availability in the cloud, but haven't heard back from them at all.
I've even contacted Supermicro, who claims on their website to be shipping servers with ODCPM. But the guy I talked to said they can't sell onesies,
just large amounts like 100 servers at a time, and that even if they could sell me one, it would start at over $10K just for the CPU.
Maybe I'll just have to wait until general availability, but it would be very nice to get a week or two of testing time before then so I can get real
performance numbers rather than just guessing.
