In the last day of this year, let me announce the first early access version of NVML for Windows has been released yesterday!

The NVML 1.2 Windows Technical Preview Release is the first version having all the NVML 1.1 features/libraries ported to Windows (with the only exception of libvmmalloc library).
There are still some issues that need to be fixed (i.e. missing support for Unicode), but the Windows support in NVML is already in a shape good enough to make this Technical Preview Release publicly available for all the Windows developers that would like to start playing with NVML and persistent memory.

Please, visit http://pmem.io to read this blog article, where Paul Luse summarizes our one-year efforts of porting NVML to Windows and the current status of this activity.
See also the release description for the list of all the known issues and limitations in the current version of NVML for Windows.

Please, keep in mind that this release has not been fully validated. It has passed only the basic automated tests and cannot be assumed "Production quality".

The source tarballs and the pre-compiled Windows binaries in the GitHub releases area.
The tagged source could be also fetched directly from our repository.

Big thanks to all who contributed to this success, especially for our colleagues from Microsoft and Hewlett-Packard Enterprise.
Thanks to all of you. I wish you yet more fun with NVML in the coming year.

Happy New Year!
