Hi all

Latest Intel's SR CPU doesn't support CXL 1.1 type3 devices ?, only type1 & 2 ???

Why without type3 ??
There is no memory tiering without type3.

Hello,

CXL.mem is also supported in CXL type2.

CXL.mem is also supported in CXL type2.

Correct.  But type2 also supports CXL.cache.

Even though a Type 2 device could technically behave as a memory expander, it's not ideal to do so. The nature of a Type 2 device is that it has a cache which also needs to be maintained...

Hello,
I wonder how the type2/3 device expose the device memory to host? (through PCIe Base Address Registers?)
Can device expose memory larger or smaller than their real memory capacity?

Thanks!
