So, the question arises every Spring for me, as my house is not fly-proof; every time I open the door some flies fly in, to my consternation.

And observing their behavior, the fly behavior, they seem to prefer landing on edges. The rim of a can or water cup. They never land in the middle of a flat surface if there is a rim to land on.

So trying to get numbers to this observation. I empty out by eating a jar of yogurt and flies are heavily attracted to yogurt. I leave the container and the lid on a table and count how many flies land and congregate.

Now, AI has no intelligence for it never passes the threshold (1) self aware (2) able to see and react to geometry. A fly does have intelligence for it can do both. But how much intelligence does the fly actually have?

Why do flies prefer rim edges???

Now this could make a very fine High School Science Fair Project, measuring biology and measuring computer science of the lack of intelligence in AI.

But you would have to get consent and permission from the mother parent, before embarking on having yogurt containers on kitchen table and flies buzzing around. Mom may not approve. Or, perhaps, like me, there is no escaping of flies in Spring and Summer in a house that is not fly proof.

I do not know what is in yogurt that they are so fond of--- sugar, milk???

So once that is set-up I can start to count how many land on the edge or rim versus the flat lid with yogurt.

Now with numbers, I look to AI Overviews on Internet, starting with AP's overview which talks about my Plutonium Atom Totality theory but is more focused on calling AP a crank or worse. So, is the AI like a fly--- attempting to land on a rim, a edge, but never wanting to dive into the middle of things????

Is the evolution of the fly--- that of landing on a rim a edge is the safest landing spot for it can then see almost 360 degrees in space, while a surface is only 180 degrees. So that the fly is self aware it exists and wants to live longer and is able to see geometry by knowing a rim can allow sight in 360 degrees whereas the AI robot is not self-aware, nor able to see geometry.

And so the AI Overview is superficial, nothing of depth.
