AMOC, Atlantic Meridional Overturning Circulation--- need to pay attention to

William Brangham on PBS Newshour on talking of Trump's stupid cutting of ocean research brought up this topic of AMOC, something I never heard of before. Something more than the Gulf Stream that warms Europe.

But if this AMOC reverses course like that of La Nina and El Nino, then the world climate system is in trouble.

But I question the very concept that AMOC can reverse. The 2nd Law of Thermodynamics--- Heat flows from hot to cold. Would that imply AMOC can never reverse??????

So, now the weather pattern of La Nina and El Nino are  reversible because basically it is around the equator and the 2nd Law of Thermodynamics would say HEAT GOES ALWAYS FROM HOT TO COLD. 

If one year is El Nino then switches the next year to La Nina does not violate 2nd Law of Thermodynamics because East to West or West to East is all Hot. So they can reverse.

But now, a current direction of Equator to Pole, the Poles are always colder than equator. So a reverse of the current in the Atlantic in AMOC is impossible for it violates the 2nd Law of Thermodynamics.

But we still need those global monitor buoys and instruments kept in place, that stupid Trump is trying to remove.

I am going to include this in my Intermediate and Advanced Logic textbooks.
